This month's Remote Learning Faculty Hero is Keri Jarvis, MS, RN, CNS, from the Department of Nursing. Keri is the first faculty member at ESU to adopt and use a new captioning technology for Zoom called Otter.AI.
This brand new technology allows hearing impaired students to participate in live Zoom meetings along with other students. Not only does Otter.AI caption, but it provides meeting notes that students can download, annotate, and/or print. One student was so appreciative of the technology that she has asked to use it in all her future ESU courses.
We wish to celebrate Keri and her dedication to ESU and her students!
